Pick your child's grade and the subject they need help with, then choose a Dojo Tutor for a 25-minute first class. Afterward, your tutor sends a learning plan built around your child's needs. You choose when classes happen, how many you want, and whether to try a different tutor. After every class, you'll get a summary, ideas for support at home, and updates on your child's progress.
Browse classes in your child's grade and subject. Join live, online classes each week with small groups of 2 to 8 kids, led by teachers who keep them engaged. No fixed start dates, no long commitments.
We offer tutoring for kids in Pre-K through 12th grade. The subjects we offer include core academic subjects (such as reading, writing, and math) as well as other subjects (such as Spanish, coding, and study skills).
Classes are 25 or 55 minutes long and occur weekly. Research suggests that this range is the most effective session length for young learners based on brain development and average attention span. Classes take place on your schedule—you'll be able to pick a time that works for you.
Every Dojo Tutor is a qualified educator with a background in education. Most tutors are experienced in-school classroom teachers. We choose tutors not just for their expertise, but for their passion and ability to meet kids where they are. Every tutor completes a rigorous selection process, including a background check and a sample lesson, to ensure they're the right fit for your child.
Dojo Tutor is an independent program run by ClassDojo. We're not affiliated with any school, but many of our tutors are sourced from our amazing ClassDojo teacher community.
The first session is a trial lesson that lets your child and their tutor get to know each other. Their tutor will then prepare a personalized learning plan based on your child's needs and interests. Following sessions use fun activities personalized to your child. Each lesson builds on the previous one to help them make progress toward their learning goals.
All classes take place online. You'll receive a new meeting link for each tutoring session.
Your device must have a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. A computer works best, but any device that meets these requirements (including phones and tablets) will work.
Yes! Your child's safety is our top priority. All sessions take place via secure links, and all tutors are background-checked educators trained to create a supportive, respectful learning environment.
