Hello! My name is Dr. Mazie Parkmond, and I am excited to support students through tutoring. I bring 24 years of experience in education, including four years as a private school principal, and I currently teach 2nd grade. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Montessori Concentration, a master’s degree in Divergent Learning, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. In 2018, I was honored as Teacher of the Year for my school, and throughout my career I have loved sharing my passion for teaching and learning with both students and fellow educators. My philosophy is simple: all children can learn when they are taught in the way that best fits their unique learning style. When I’m not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy reading and listening to books on Audible, shopping with my daughter, cheering on my son at basketball games, and playing violin with my sisters in a string trio.
