With 15 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of teaching English Language Arts to learners in grades 1-8. My teaching journey has taken me to various states and regions, including DC and MD, where I have had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of learners. I hold a Masters of Education in Elementary Education and have specialized in Accelerating Early Literacy Development from Duke University. My passion for teaching goes beyond the classroom - I am constantly finding ways to make online learning fun and engaging for my learners. I use interactive games and resources, as well as tools like annotation and screen sharing, to create an interactive virtual classroom that allows for meaningful learning experiences. My goal is to ensure that online learning is effective for my learners, and I do this through goal setting, planning, and promoting interaction through annotation and polls. Aside from teaching, I have a variety of interests and hobbies that keep me energized and inspired. I love attending live music events, coaching, and staying active through fitness. In fact, my passion for fitness and coaching has greatly influenced my teaching style and methodology. I strongly believe that consistency is key in both teaching and fitness, and I strive to bring that mindset into my virtual classroom. I am looking forward to getting to know your family and working together to make learning a fun and fulfilling experience for your kids!

With 10 years of teaching and 16 years of tutoring experience under my belt, I've had the joy of guiding learners from Kindergarten through 9th grade in subjects like math, algebra, and everything in between. I've taught in lovely Virginia and even in Saudi Arabia! Currently, I teach Math to 6th graders! Education is my passion, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision. My aim is to create an inspiring environment where every child feels empowered to learn. To make online learning an adventure, I love connecting with my learners on a personal level. We’ll find out what sparks their curiosity and weave those interests into our lessons, whether that means turning a math problem into a friendly competition or playing fun games together. I truly believe that learning can be a joyful experience, and I’m here to show kids that education is not just about answers but about the excitement of the journey! Outside of the classroom, you'll find me soaking in the magic of Broadway shows, painting pottery, or lost in a good book. My love of theatre inspires me to bring flair and creativity to our sessions, making learning as entertaining as a front-row seat at a show! Let’s make math and more a thrilling adventure together, and I can't wait to share the joy of learning with your family!
