10th Grade Tutoring

With 21 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of guiding learners from preschool through high school in subjects like English, Math, Reading, Science, STEM, Social Studies, and Special Education. Each child is unique, and I’m passionate about making connections that inspire them to explore learning in exciting ways! I’ve taught in the vibrant state of Oklahoma, and I can’t wait to bring that energy into our sessions. To keep online learning fun and engaging, I love incorporating what kids are interested in right into our lessons. That means if your child loves dinosaurs, we might mix in some dino math! I also shake things up with hands-on activities and interactive games that make our time together not just educational, but a blast too. Learning is an adventure, and we are traveling it together! When I’m not busy teaching, you can often find me dreaming of my next travel adventure or diving beneath the waves while scuba diving. I also adore reading and cherish family time. I believe that these interests bring a spark to our lessons, proving that learning should never be boring. Together, we’ll embark on an exciting quest for knowledge, and I can’t wait to see where our journey takes us!

With 25 years of teaching under my belt, I've had the pleasure of helping learners from fifth grade all the way up to adults. After teaching in North Carolina, I’m thrilled to bring my love for reading and writing to our online sessions! My goal is to make online learning a fun adventure! I want to know what sparks joy for my learners—whether it's their favorite superheroes or exciting hobbies—so I can weave those interests into our lessons. I believe that when kids see their own world reflected in the lessons, learning becomes a fantastic journey. I also like to keep things interactive by summarizing key points, checking in with surveys, and inviting feedback to help everyone stay engaged and inspired! When I'm not in the virtual classroom, you can find me exercising, cooking up a storm, or getting creative with fiber arts. I believe that learning should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. I have experience working with students of various ages and learning styles, and I strive to make every session positive and productive. Whether we’re building foundational skills, tackling challenging subjects, or preparing for exams, I focus on developing both understanding and confidence. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy documentaries and learning about new cultures, which helps me bring energy and real-world connections into my lessons. Hi! My name is Ashlee, and I’m a certified elementary teacher with experience teaching all grades (currently I teach 5th & 6th in the classroom, and at a local college). I work with students across multiple grade levels through small-group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and intervention support. I hold a master’s degree in education and have spent my career helping students who feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or behind build confidence and truly understand the material—not just memorize it. I believe every child can learn when lessons are broken down in a way that makes sense to them.

I’m a patient, encouraging tutor who believes that every mind is one-of-a-kind! My formal education and experiences are unique. I’ve worked teaching in brick-and-mortar classrooms in 3 different states in different areas of the country due to family moves. I’ve also taught students all over the country and world online! I’m used to flexibly pivoting to every grade level and style of learning. My formal education is in teaching students with disabilities, and I also have specialized experience teaching ESL and Gifted students online. Currently, I also work with students who are homeschooling in my own community.

With many years of experience teaching grades 6-12, I’ve learned that every child has their own unique set of strengths they offer. I’ve taught English Language Arts, Journalism, and even provided behavior support as a dean and district-level behavior coach. When I’m not working, you can find me reading a book, cooking up a delicious meal, or hanging out with my five furry friends! I also love spending time with my one-year-old daughter and husband, which inspires my teaching philosophy: learning should be enjoyable and relatable. Hi! I'm Ms. Sarah. I've been teaching since 2012 when I joined the Peace Corps and was sent to Guinea to teach English. That was the beginning of my teaching journey. I've since gotten certified in ESL and earned a Masters in Education. I've taught in my home state of Kentucky, as well as internationally in South Korea, Taiwan, and Myanmar teaching 3rd through 12th grade in both ESL and English Language Arts. I've also taught online for 6 years, tutoring students from China and Kyrgyzstan. I've also mentored a few students in creative writing.

I am a mom and a wife! Our daughter is 18 and graduated May of 2025! She has recently graduated phlebotomy school! I have been married to Scott for 23 years! They are my world and teaching is my passion! I only have one daughter but in my teaching career I have grown to love all my families and still keep up with many students who are now grown and have kids of their own!
