Hi! I am Andrea and I am excited to work with your child. I have been teaching for 8 years now. I taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd during my first two years in teaching and transition to SPED class where I taught one-on-one and students who are socially/emotionally challenged for a year. Currently, I'm teaching children with Autism in an intermediate class for 4 years. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education specialization in Special Education and recently got my Master’s Degree in Special Education as well. I have two teaching licenses: Philippines & USA. Teaching these children and seeing them grow and learn as an individual gives me a sense of fulfillment. I help them set a goal up and always motivate them intrinsically and extrinsically to reach their goals. As a teacher, I make sure that the learning is fun, effective and incorporates their interests. For example, if they like Disney princesses or sports, then I’ll use it as part of my lesson and of course as a reward for them. During distance learning, it challenged me how to teach these children virtually. Fortunately, with the training sessions I attended and resources I had, it made the teaching fun and enjoyable to the children. I incorporate different styles of learning such as body movements, discussion, picture aids and more. Learning online can be so exciting and enjoyable. I can’t wait to meet you!

I have been teaching for 4 years and have experience teaching learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade in a variety of subjects, including Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. I have taught in both Alabama and Florida, gaining a diverse range of teaching experience in different regions. I hold a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education and have a Florida Teaching Certificate and Reading Endorsement. My goal as a tutor is to make learning enjoyable and effective for all of my students by using a hands-on approach and implementing different strategies. To make online learning fun and engaging, I like to incorporate interactive activities into my lessons. I encourage learners to answer questions on their screens by writing or clicking on the correct answers. This not only helps to keep learners engaged, but also allows me to assess their understanding of the material. In addition to this, I make sure to frequently pause and check for understanding before moving on to new concepts. This ensures that learners are able to grasp the material and make progress in their learning journey. Outside of teaching, I have a few hobbies that I am passionate about. I am a dance instructor, which influences my teaching style by allowing me to create songs, chants, and movements to help learners understand certain concepts. I also enjoy drawing, which comes in handy when drawing out math problems to better visualize them. And lastly, I love spending time with my dog, King! He helps me make real world connections and adds a fun element to our lessons. I can't wait to get to know you and your family and help your kids reach their full potential in their education!

I have been teaching for 5 years and have had the privilege of working with learners in Pre-K, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade. In Pre-K and 2nd grade, I have taught every subject, and in 5th and 6th grade, I focused on social studies. I believe that every subject is important and should be fun, engaging, and tailored to each individual learner's needs I have taught in Tennessee, where I am from, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am working towards obtaining my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am also certified in Elementary Education K-5 and Early Childhood Education. My goal as a tutor is to create a safe and supportive learning environment for my learners. Learning should be enjoyable and effective, no matter the setting. That's why I love incorporating hands-on activities, technology, and movement into my lessons. My students often don't realize they're learning because they're having so much fun! I also establish a routine and goals for my learners to ensure their success. Outside of teaching, I love serving at my local church and volunteering in media. I believe my creative approach to teaching is influenced by my love for media and technology. I can't wait to share my passion for learning with your family and see your learner succeed!

Expert spelling support, built around your child

Spelling is more than memorizing word lists — it's about understanding how words work. Strong spelling skills support reading fluency, writing confidence, and vocabulary development. When children struggle with spelling, it can hold back their progress across subjects.

At Dojo Tutor, our tutors use proven strategies to help your child understand spelling patterns, rules, and exceptions. Working 1-to-1, they identify which skills need attention and build practice around your child's specific challenges — making learning stick.

With consistent, targeted support, your child can move from guessing at words to spelling with confidence and understanding.
