I am super excited to work with your child, I truly believe that one-on-one or small group tutoring is the best way to target specific areas for growth and to provide enrichment opportunities as well. I have been teaching for 26 years, I am certified to teach PK-8th grade, Bilingual/ESL (Spanish) and General Education. I have been at my current school for the past 21 years. I am a Teacher Incentive Allotment Designee, with a rating of Exemplary. This designation is given to select teachers by the Texas Education Agency. It is based on students consistently meeting their growth goals, annual state test scores, and student input in the form of anonymous surveys.

My name is Mr. O, and I am currently a certified K-5 STEM teacher with 13 years of teaching experience, including teaching 4th and 5th grades. In addition to classroom teaching, I specialize in online tutoring for math and writing, helping students build confidence and improve their skills through personalized, engaging strategies. I use real-world examples, interactive tools, games, and step-by-step guidance to make challenging concepts easier to understand and relatable in a virtual setting. Hi there! My name is Shannan and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! Though I come from a family of educators, my path to teaching was non-traditional. I graduated from college with a Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications and began my professional career working in software implementation at a tech company. It didn't take long, however, for me to realize that a corporate tech career wasn't where my passions lay, and I decided to change gears and pursue more fulfilling career in teaching. I've now been teaching for 6 years in the state of Texas, spending most of that time teaching 5th grade math and science. The past two years I have been lucky enough to teach in a STEM specials position that allows me to work with all students in kindergarten through 5th grade as we solve real world challenges utilizing science, technology, engineering, and math. I hold Texas Teacher Certifications in Core Subject EC-6, English as a Second Language, and Gifted and Talented Education.

As a tutor at Dojo Tutor, I have 2 years of experience teaching learners from Kindergarten to Elementary Core subjects. I've had the pleasure of working in Georgia, where I've brought my passion for education to the classroom. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Educational Management, and I am also a certified Elementary Education teacher. Hello I'm Ms. Briana! I am so excited to work with your child on their education journey. I have taught Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grade and currently work as an Instructional Technology Specialist. I also have experience teaching Kindergarten summer school and have tutored reading and math both in person and online. I love using games, videos, and 'drag and drop' activities to ensure kids are engaged and see that learning can be fun. I believe when you meet children where they are it builds their confidence and love for learning. My favorite part about working with kids is seeing that excitement when they have that "light bulb" moment when they finally understand something they were struggling with. It is truly my passion to bridge the learning gap and help children have understanding, confidence and appreciation for education. In my spare time I enjoy working out, reading, traveling, building legos and painting. I think it is very important to learn a child's interests and incorporate that into their learning to reel them in even further!
