I am the event leader in my lifegroup at church and spend a lot of time with friends go carting, bowling, going out to eat, listening to live music (especially country!), playing games, etc. With my son, we love to go to parks, Six Flags, play places, Scheels, Buccees, Bass Pro, traveling, etc.

I’m an experienced English and Language Arts teacher from South Carolina with over 25 years in education. My journey began in college as an after-school teacher, and since then, I’ve taught students of all ages—from elementary and middle school to adults—both in the classroom and online. I hold advanced degrees in English and have specialized training in reading and writing instruction from Furman University and Clemson University. I have been teaching for 3 years, primarily in 4th and 5th grade, covering all subjects. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach in Illinois, specifically in the Chicagoland area. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and am certified to teach all subjects for grades 1-6. I also have a Middle school ELA endorsement for grades 6-8.
