Hello! My name is Kayla, and I’m thrilled and excited to embark on this learning journey with you. Are you ready? With 25 years of experience as a certified reading and ESL teacher, I’m passionate about helping children worldwide excel in reading and learning English. I’ve had the privilege of working with children in England, Italy, Germany, the US, and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, I was an accredited Daycare Provider, caring for infants to preschoolers and gaining experience working with a diverse group of students from around the world.

I have been teaching students reading, writing, literary skills, social studies, and ELA for over 7 years. I am also a university lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of Arizona. I hold a MFA in Fiction Writing from Drexel University and a MA in Teaching Writing from Johns Hopkins University.

I’m passionate about helping children learn, grow, and discover the joy of learning! With over 30 years of experience teaching elementary school in Florida, I’ve worked with students from Pre-K through 3rd grade and love making each lesson engaging and fun. I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University and have been tutoring both online and in person for more than six years. Currently, I teach 2nd grade in an inclusion classroom, where I support students with language and learning disabilities. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive, supportive learning environment that builds confidence and helps every child reach their full potential.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of working with young learners across Pre-K to young adults in Texas and Mississippi. I believe that every child has the potential to shine, and I am here to help them discover their unique spark in subjects like English Language Arts, SEL and Social Studies. Together, we'll create a joyful and productive learning environment where your kids can thrive!

I have been teaching for 4 years in preschool, kindergarten, and most currently first grade. I teach in central Iowa! I have been working with dojo since the Fall of 2024. What I love most about tutoring is the one on one connection I am able to make with students from all over the country! I believe in making online learning enjoyable and effective for my learners. I do this by incorporating their interests into our lessons and using a variety of activities. I also keep a perky pace and use engaging topics to ensure learning is fun and impactful! Outside of teaching, I enjoy crafting, reading, journaling, dirt biking, snowmobiling, baking/cooking, playing video games, rock hunting, and hiking. I love using my personal interests to connect with my learners and make our activities fun and interesting! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Unified with a minor in Anthropology. I also have teaching certifications and special qualifications including Birth-Grade 3 Inclusive Settings Strat 1 (Iowa Endorsement 1001), PK-KEarly Childhood Special Education Strat 1 (Iowa Endorsement 262), and Reading K-8.

Hello! I am Jonetta Parker. My birthday is July 28th. I currently live in Dayton, Ohio but I was born and raise in Columbus, Ohio. I have an emotional support dog named Kingston and he is my world!! I attended Wright State University for my undergrad and received a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership and a minor Psychology. I also attended Grand Canyon University to receive a Masters in Elementary Education. I also wanted to inform you that I am a K-12 General Ed and Special Ed Tutor. I also incorporate social-emotional learning as well.

With 23 years of experience under my belt, I have had the joy of teaching learners from Pre-K to 12th grade, with a special focus on Special Education, Reading, Writing, and Social Emotional Learning. I am SO excited to get to know you and to begin our learning adventure together! I have so much experience and joy to bring to our sessions together. I began my journey with a Psychology degree. My initial position was a therapeutic support system where I helped my students within their school, home and community settings. Additionally, I have a vast background in teaching within an intensive Autism Support classroom. For 6 years I taught 5th and 6th graders, with a focus on Language Arts, earning large amounts of recognition. I taught within the classroom and also as a remote educator. I am certified to teach PreK to 8th grade learners. I believe that every learner is unique and deserves a personalized approach to learning. I am passionate about learning WHO you are. That's why I make it a priority to get to know my students, their own passions, and their learning goals. By incorporating their interests into my teaching, I help make learning come to life and am able to create a fun and engaging experience for them. I am dedicated to providing effective lesson plans and bringing an exciting presence to every online session. Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing yoga, reading, and writing. I am also a proud mom of 3. I bring valuable skills in patience, understanding, and flexibility and I believe that my diverse interests and experiences allow me to connect with my learners and make our sessions even more enjoyable and effective. PSA: I offer 55-minute sessions. These must be scheduled as 2 consecutive 25-minute sessions. I have a deep passion for philosophy and learning, spending much of my free time reading, exploring new ideas, and helping others. Teaching offers me the chance to share that curiosity and guide students toward greater confidence and independent thinking.

Each child is unique, and I’m passionate about making connections that inspire them to explore learning in exciting ways! I’ve taught in the vibrant state of Oklahoma, and I can’t wait to bring that energy into our sessions. To keep online learning fun and engaging, I love incorporating what kids are interested in right into our lessons. That means if your child loves dinosaurs, we might mix in some dino math! I also shake things up with hands-on activities and interactive games that make our time together not just educational, but a blast too. Learning is an adventure, and we are traveling it together! When I’m not busy teaching, you can often find me dreaming of my next travel adventure or diving beneath the waves while scuba diving. I also adore reading and cherish family time.
