Hi! My name is Alicia, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for over 8 years and have experience working with learners in grades 2 through 6, covering all subjects. I have taught in both Maryland and Virginia, and have a passion for providing personalized, one-on-one instruction to help kids reach their full potential. I hold a Master's in Education with a focus on Instructional Design & Technology, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education.

I am a 5 year experienced third grade teacher in North Carolina. When I am not teaching, I love to read and play with my dogs. I am from Ohio, but moved to North Carolina when I graduated from college so that I could live somewhere warmer!

I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Go Noles! Outside of teaching, my hobbies ironically include reading and writing (which makes my teaching style very lingusitic heavy). We will do hands-on activites, and we will be talking through every step. This helps your child to become comfortable with different word patterns in Reading, or talking through a problem in Math. I also enjoy outside walks and making matcha latte concoctions! Hi, my name is Delaney! This is my 7th year teaching. I have taught 5th, 2nd, and 4th grade. I currently teach 4th grade in Arizona. In my free time, I love to play with my dog, read, and cook.

My passion for teaching started with kindergarten, where I taught reading, and has grown to teaching 6th-8th grade English Learners, as well as 3rd-grade math, science, and reading. Hi! My name is Donna Sanford, and I am so excited to work with your child as a Dojo Tutor! I retired from teaching in 2022 after 27 years in the classroom. I immediately began working with Dojo Tutor and am one of the founding tutors. I have taught grades K, 1, 2, and 4, with the most time spent in K-2. I have a master's degree from the University of Tennessee with an early childhood specialization. While teaching, I gained experience tutoring students after school and also worked with Tier 2 kids in a small group setting. I became a Dojo Tutor because I love seeing kids grow and improve their reading fluency, comprehension, and writing skills. It is my hope to foster a love of reading and writing in students who were once struggling in these areas. I also try to make math more interesting by incorporating games, projects, and children’s literature when teaching math skills. I love to see kids improve their fact fluency and reasoning skills.
