FAQs
Creator Challenges is how we celebrate teachers who use and love ClassDojo every day and share what works with other teachers on social. This one is a special, one-time challenge to celebrate the start of the school year with a pay-it-forward heart: by posting your favorite tip or trick, you’re helping another teacher have an easier year. There are prizes for you and your classroom, and it’s open to every teacher.
Share your favorite back-to-school ClassDojo tip or trick on video. We love the hidden gems, the clever moves other teachers wouldn’t think of. Maybe you’re a brand new teacher using ClassDojo for the first time, or a veteran with a trick you’ve perfected over the years. Either way, ClassDojo is free for every teacher, so help show teachers everywhere what’s possible.
Not sure where to start? Try one of these:
- Show a clever attendance trick, like students tapping themselves in as “here” on the smartboard
- Share your creative point system, the custom skills you made up for your class
- Give a tour of your favorite Toolkit tools: Group Maker, the Random picker, the Timer, or the Noise Meter
- Show how you post a Class Story moment and the reaction you get from families
- Break down how your school runs schoolwide Points
- Do a “5 things you didn’t know you could do with ClassDojo”
- Share your “top 3 tips for first-year teachers, all free”
Pick one, or show us something we’ve never seen. The more creative, the better.
Three winners:
- 1st place: $500 to clear your classroom wishlist
- 2nd place: Teacher’s Choice, either a Ninja Crispi PRO or a Ninja Creami
- 3rd place: a Nespresso machine
Winners are chosen by the ClassDojo team based on creativity and how well the video shows off a genuine, useful ClassDojo tip. You don’t need a big following, we’re looking for the best ideas. On top of that, videos that go viral can earn a bonus (see below).
To count for the challenge, a video needs to:
- Be a video (not a photo, carousel, or Story)
- Be posted on a public account during the live challenge dates (no Groups, no Stories)
- Be on a platform where ClassDojo has a presence: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter/X
- Tag @ClassDojo and use #ClassDojoBTS
- Actually show a ClassDojo tip or trick (a passing mention doesn’t count)
- Stay up: the post can’t be deleted or set to private before September 30, 2026 to qualify
On top of the main prizes, videos that go viral can earn an extra reward. If your qualifying video reaches 100,000+ views organically by September 5th, you can earn a $50 Amazon gift card. Views are counted on the platform’s public view count, so paid or boosted views don’t count.
The first 5 teachers to post and hit 100,000 views get the bonus. If more than 5 teachers reach the mark, we prioritize by posting date, so the earlier you post, the better your odds.
No sign-up required, just join in when you’re ready. We do recommend opting into our mailing list so you don’t miss the details. To enter:
- Post your video on social during the live challenge dates
- Tag @ClassDojo
- Use the hashtag #ClassDojoBTS
It has to be a video on a public account on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter/X. These won’t count (we might not see them): Instagram Stories, posts inside private Facebook Groups, and posts from private accounts.
This is a one-time challenge, not a recurring series. Post anytime through August 31st. Winners will be announced September 4th on @ClassDojo’s Instagram and Facebook.
All the official rules — eligibility, judging, prizes, and publicity — are in the full .
