I have been teaching for 4 years, and for the past 2 years I have been in special education. I have taught all grades Pre-K through 5th grade, in all subject areas. Hi! My name is Lauren, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With four years of teaching experience under my belt, I've had the pleasure of working with kids in Pre-K through 5th grade, including those in Special Education. I’ve taught in Georgia, and I’ve truly loved every moment of helping kids grow and learn in all subjects. My goal is to make every learning experience not just educational but fun and full of laughter! To make online learning enjoyable, I like to use technology to gamify lessons. Think of it like leveling up in your favorite video game! I also love creating collaborative lessons on digital whiteboards where everyone can share their ideas. I believe in getting to know my learners and their interests, helping to build strong relationships that make learning exciting. Setting clear goals and encouraging participation helps me ensure that our time together is effective and rewarding! Outside of teaching, you can find me lost in a captivating book, whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, or enjoying family time. My love for reading inspires me to cultivate a lifelong passion for learning, while cooking teaches creativity and step-by-step thinking. I believe a warm and inclusive environment helps every learner thrive, and I can't wait to partner with you to embark on this adventure!

With 17 years of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching in two states, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I have taught learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade, in both general education and special education. Through my education, I hold a Bachelor's degree in both Elementary and Special Education, as well as a Master's degree in Special Education. I also have an Educational Leadership Certificate, and I am currently awaiting my test date to obtain an Administration Certificate. I believe that online learning can be just as engaging as in-person learning. With high energy and personalized lessons based on your child's interests, I strive to make our sessions enjoyable and interactive. I also incorporate quick breaks to keep learners focused and motivated. To ensure effectiveness, I eliminate distractions and continuously assess your child's learning throughout the lesson. By staying consistent and focusing on the lesson goal, I am dedicated to making sure your child is successful in their learning journey. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and playing with my two dogs. These interests greatly influence my teaching style as I understand the importance of building strong relationships with learners and their families. I treat each learner as if they were my own child, and focus on providing the same attention and dedication that I would want for my own children. By sharing our interests and hobbies, we can build a strong connection and make learning even more enjoyable for your child.

I have been teaching for 10 years and have experience teaching learners in grades PK-5th. My passion for teaching led me to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I am proud to be certified in FCCPC for Early Childhood and TESOL for English as a Second Language. Plus, I am also fluent in Spanish! My teaching experience has primarily been in Florida, where I have had the opportunity to work with diverse learners and families. I am dedicated to making online learning fun and engaging for my students. I do this by incorporating interactive games, engaging slides, and interactive stories/manipulatives into my lessons. These methods have proven to be effective in keeping learners interested and motivated to learn. Besides teaching, I love spending time with my family, reading, trying new foods, and continuing my learning in education. These interests have influenced my teaching style and methodology in many ways. Reading has helped me find new and creative ways to engage my learners, while constantly learning about education has allowed me to adapt to new teaching strategies and techniques. I am always open to suggestions and feedback from families and learners, as I believe it is important to listen and incorporate their thoughts into my lessons. I am looking forward to working with your family and helping your child reach their full potential!
