I have been teaching for 33 years, specializing in grades K-6. I have had the pleasure of teaching in various parts of the United States, including Virginia. I hold a degree in NK-8th education and am also a certified Reading Specialist.

I have been teaching for 4 years, and for the past 2 years I have been in special education. I have taught all grades Pre-K through 5th grade, in all subject areas. Hi! With 17 years of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching in two states, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I have taught learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade, in both general education and special education. Through my education, I hold a Bachelor's degree in both Elementary and Special Education, as well as a Master's degree in Special Education. I also have an Educational Leadership Certificate, and I am currently awaiting my test date to obtain an Administration Certificate. I believe that online learning can be just as engaging as in-person learning. With high energy and personalized lessons based on your child's interests, I strive to make our sessions enjoyable and interactive. I also incorporate quick breaks to keep learners focused and motivated. To ensure effectiveness, I eliminate distractions and continuously assess your child's learning throughout the lesson. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and playing with my two dogs. My name is Stacey McKinney and I live in Northern Minnesota. I am a mother of 6. I have been teaching in the classroom for 13 years. I also have worked 8 years for a non-profit bringing literacy into the homes of families with young kids. I love the outdoors! As a family we love camping, four wheeling and hunting and fishing. For 13 years, I have been an educator specializing in Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade gifted and talented learners. My teaching experience spans across Indiana and Maryland. I hold a Bachelor's degree plus 30 credits in education, and am also a certified Reading Specialist. In addition to English, I speak some Spanish.
