I enjoy learning about all of you and I love learning in general! Hi my name is Wendolyn and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 22 years of experience in teaching grades 1-7 and 9-12, I have had the opportunity to work with learners from all walks of life. My teaching adventures have taken me to North Texas and Washington, where I have had the pleasure of helping students reach their full potential. As someone with a background in law and a Masters in International and Comparative Law, I have a unique perspective that I bring to my teaching. I am also National Board Certified and hold certifications in Texas Elementary, English as a New Language, Bilingual, and Spanish. I have been trained in GLAD, Dual Language and Math for Language learners in the states of Washington and Texas.

With over 20 years of experience as a highly qualified and successful teacher, I have developed a proven ability to help students learn in an engaging and lasting manner. My teaching methods are designed to capture attention, foster active participation, and ensure that knowledge is retained effectively. Through innovative strategies and a deep understanding of student needs, I create a learning environment where concepts are not only understood but also remembered for years to come.

With seven years of teaching under my belt, I've had the joy of working with learners from 1st to 9th grade in Mexico. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and my passion for teaching has only grown throughout my adventures in the classroom. To make online learning fun and engaging, I love using interactive activities, games, and visuals. Real-life examples bring lessons to life, and I always encourage kids to participate and share their ideas in a relaxed and supportive environment. Learning should feel like a fun adventure, not a chore! I set clear objectives and adapt my lessons to fit each learner’s needs, all while making sure they understand and enjoy the process. Outside of teaching, I enjoy diving into a good book, listening to music, and spending quality time with my pets. With over 22 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of educating kids in Spanish from grades 6 to 12, including fun classes like Intro to Spanish, Spanish I, Spanish II, & III. Teaching in Mississippi has given me great insights into how to connect with my learners and make lessons feel lively and engaging. To keep learning fun, I love using games and tapping into the interests of my students. The great thing about learning a language is that there is always something new and interesting to discuss! Hi! I'm Ms. Byrd, and I bring 10 years of classroom experience to my tutoring. I have a diverse background, having taught middle school English, high school U.S. History, and AP Seminar. Beyond my teaching expertise, I also hold a law degree, which allows me to offer comprehensive support in various subjects. While reading and English are my specialties, my experience covers a wide range, including Social Studies, writing, math, science, and Spanish. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy baking, gardening, or getting lost in a good book.
