Originally from New Jersey, I currently am in my fifth year of teaching in Philadelphia! I have experience teaching reading intervention to grades K-5, and general education in first and second grade. In my free time, I love to read, do yoga, and hang out with my 2 cats!

I have been teaching for 24 years. I love working with children and seeing how much they learn and grow over time. It's a wonderful feeling when a child has difficulty with a subject and then realizes that they have mastered a skill in that subject. When their confidence blooms, it warms my heart. I don't want a child to feel uncomfortable while learning. I want them to know that it's okay to make mistakes and that is actually how we learn and grow.

With over 28 years of teaching experience in grades K-12, I have had the opportunity to connect with learners of all ages and backgrounds. I have taught in South Carolina, where I currently reside, and have gathered a wealth of knowledge and teaching strategies throughout my career. My passion for teaching is evident in my lively and interactive lessons. I believe that building a strong relationship with each student is key to their success. That's why I take the time to get to know my learners and design my lessons around their interests. Whether it's using their favorite animal in a math problem or incorporating their love for sports in a reading assignment, I make sure to keep my students engaged and motivated to learn. As an experienced educator, I know how to make online learning effective. I understand that every learner has unique needs and I design my lessons accordingly. My ultimate goal is to help each child reach their full potential and I am committed to doing so through engaging virtual lessons. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, spending time with my dogs, and incorporating them into my teaching sessions. With 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the pleasure of helping kids in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades blossom in their learning. I’ve taught in both sunny Texas and beautiful Michigan, and I can't wait to bring some of that fun energy into our online sessions together! I have earned my Master's degree in Education from Grand Canyon University and have been serving students in the elementary/ middle schools since 20 years and love to see my students advance and be proficient in their content. I've only taught in the sunny state of Florida, where I hold an education degree and have earned a highly qualified rating in the school district. I also have endorsements in ESOL and Reading. These qualifications have made me a knowledgeable and experienced educator, ready to help your child excel in their learning journey. Hello! My name is Ms.Rose, and I love helping children learn and grow. I’m patient, creative, and passionate about making learning a positive experience. I’ve coached track and field for grades 1–8, volunteered as a tutor at my church, and served as a National Science Fair judge. I also work as a pediatric medical assistant, where I support children from newborns to young adults, which has taught me patience, empathy, and great communication skills. Outside of work, I enjoy knitting, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and playing basketball.

With 15 years of teaching experience, I have taught learners from Kindergarten to 6th grade in various subjects such as Reading, Math, and English. My teaching adventures have mainly been in Maryland, but I'm excited to expand my reach through Dojo Tutor.
