Hi families! My name is Ms. Biol, and I’m excited to support your child’s learning journey. I’ve been teaching for 10 years—8 years in the Philippines, and this year is my 3rd year of teaching here in the USA. I’ve taught Kindergarten through 4th Grade in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and more. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and student-centered because I believe kids learn best when they feel motivated, supported, and confident. I hold a Master’s in Education and a North Carolina K–6 Teaching License, and I specialize in creating personalized 1:1 lessons that meet each child’s needs. Hello!! I have 25 years of experience in public education. I began my career in 2000 as a 2nd grade teacher, then moved to 1st grade the next year and taught 1st grade for five years. Then, I taught 4th grade Reading Language Arts for one year, and then an opportunity presented itself for me to move into a literacy coaching role at a new elementary school in my previous district. I coached teachers for five years, then moved into administration. Since 2012, I have served as a data analyst and a technology lead. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and friends and family. We have two daughters and one precious Maltese-Shitzu mix! I also love to run, strength train, and do Pilates. I also enjoy cooking and baking!

I missed having students so much, that I have started tutoring. It is the best part of teaching without some of the more stressful parts! I am a mom of three adult children, two of which have married and given me grandchildren! I live with my husband and 2 dogs on a small farm in Michigan. Throughout my career, I have served as a Lead Teacher and Mentor Teacher, and I have proudly hosted and guided student teachers for many years. These leadership roles have strengthened my ability to individualize instruction, collaborate with families, and meet the diverse needs of every learner.
