Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Tutoring for 2nd Grade

I am a certified teacher who has been teaching for over 25 years . I love making learning fun for scholars; working with students and providing the support they need to have confidence in math gives me great joy. I want students to realize that a big part of math is exploring, sharing, and making real world connections to math concepts. I would love to work with your with your scholar!

With six years of teaching experience, I've had the joy of working with little learners in Pre-K through 3rd grade across Missouri and Nevada. My background in Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Education allows me to create a warm and welcoming space for every kid, making learning feel like an adventure we embark on together!

With 22 years of teaching experience, I have had the joy of working with kids in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, helping them grow in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I’ve spent my teaching career in the lovely state of Missouri, where I’ve made classrooms a place of discovery and fun! I believe that learning should be engaging and tailored to each learner. I make online sessions enjoyable by connecting with my students, understanding their interests, and weaving those into our lessons. My approach is positive and supportive, ensuring that every kid knows they can shine in whatever they’re tackling. I also stay on my toes, adapting materials as needed and using fun assessments to keep track of progress and celebrate successes! When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending quality time with my family, exploring new places, or crafting up a storm. These interests help spark my creativity in lessons, making learning an adventure for my students. I can’t wait to share this journey with your kids and watch them soar!

I have been teaching for 12 years, with experience in grades K-8 for subjects such as Reading, ELA, and Math. Originally from Arkansas, I hold multiple degrees in education including an MAT in Teaching Middle Grades, an MSE in Special Education for K-12, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership for Pre-K-12. In addition to my degrees, I am certified in Grades 4-8 math, science, ELA, and social studies, as well as Special Education for K-12.

I have 21 years of teaching experience and have taught a variety of grades and subjects including 1st grade, 3rd grade, and special education. I have taught in Tennessee and Georgia, and am currently located in the southern region. I hold a Bachelor's degree in elementary education and a Masters degree in teacher leadership. In addition, I am certified in special education for pre-k through 12th grade. When it comes to online learning, I believe in keeping it fun and engaging. I use hands-on activities, bright colors, and fast-paced games to keep my learners interested and involved. Outside of teaching, I have a passion for reading, crafting, and going for walks. These interests also influence my teaching style, as incorporating creativity is important to keep lessons interesting and effective. Hello! I'm Mrs. Rose. For my background, I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Counseling and have several years of experience supporting children of all ages in a variety of educational settings. I have experience as both a school counseling and clinical counseling intern - focusing on helping grade-school children and teens. I also have experience as an educational assistant in a cross-categorical classroom supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs. I also spent five summers working with preschool-aged children as a teaching assistant and the program's director’s assistant. Outside of work and educational goals, I love walking my dogs - Harvey and Ollie. I enjoy reading a good book and sipping on a mug of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows! I also have fun playing video games (building in Minecraft), watching a good show or movie with my family (K Pop Demon Hunters, Bluey, and others), and anything involving art, music, or imagination. I can't wait to learn more about you as we learn together!

I’m a certified Texas elementary school teacher with nearly 10 years of experience helping students grow through both teaching and tutoring. My background is rooted in recreation and leisure, and I spent several years working in camping and retreat programs—experiences that shaped my love for creating learning environments that are hands-on, engaging, and fun. Whether I’m teaching reading, supporting foundational skills, or helping a child gain confidence, I believe that connection comes first. When students feel safe, encouraged, and valued, they’re able to thrive. Outside of teaching, you’ll usually find me reading a good book, gardening, traveling, or spending time with my nieces and nephews. These passions fuel my creativity and joy in the classroom. Hello :D I live in Virginia and come from a family of educators. I learned to truly value education from a young age. I was a substitute teacher for 12 years, enjoying flexibility and varied classroom experiences while my children were young. My full-time teaching experiences include teaching 5th grade one year, 2nd grade for six years and working as a reading specialist for six years. I have also taught summer school several years, enjoyed teaching a few homebound students, and tutored through the school system, the Boys' and Girls' Club, and privately. These experiences have instilled me with the knowledge and experience that I need to enable me to pinpoint and address students' academic needs. I truly value the opportunity to help students gain newfound confidence as they strengthen their skills and close learning gaps and to make learning fun!

Hi Parents & Students! I’m Ms. Rachael, and I’m so excited to meet you! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Japanese (Asian Studies) and a Master’s Degree in Business. Teaching is my 2nd career. I have 6 years experience tutoring international students in English and conversation skills. I also have 2 years classroom teaching experience with elementary and middle school students, and over 10 years of volunteering with children through Girl Scouts, classroom programs and community activities. For eight years, I was a foster parent, which gave me the opportunity to work with kids from all kinds of backgrounds and helped me develop strong social-emotional and communication skills. I also have ADHD, so I understand that every child learns differently — and I love finding creative, supportive ways to help each learner succeed and feel confident. I’m especially passionate about reading, writing, and language, and I believe learning should be both fun and meaningful. I’ve traveled and lived in other countries, and while English is my only fluent language (for now!), I’ve studied a bit of French, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin — I’m a lifelong learner at heart!
