Hello. I am Rosalee Robinson. When your child struggle with a specific skill, it is not uncommon for him or her to feel frustrated and demotivated. My greatest passion is creating the teaching and learning environment in which your child is engaged and motivated to achieve and succeed. As a Dojo teacher, there are different ways in which I create this motivating environment. First, I build a strong relationship with your child. Every child is a unique and important individual and letting your child know that he/she is valued cannot be left to chance. Secondly, I know that no single approach is the right one for every child, so I differentiate instruction to meet your child’s need at his/her developmental level. As a teacher, I am equipped to incorporate elements of your child’s learning style as well as different teaching methods to encourage learning. Planning and implementing differentiated instruction hold me accountable for meeting your child’s learning needs. Thirdly, I model the learning activity through direct explicit instruction and provide the scaffolded support that your child may need before expecting he/she to work independently. Lastly, I assess your child before, during and after a lesson. The assessment response helps me to provide interventions in a purposeful way as concepts are being learned. My educational background includes a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters in School Administration. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching K-2nd grade students in Washington DC. Over these years, in creating an innovative learning environment, I supported and accelerated children from below and on grade level to 1-2 grade levels above the benchmark in the areas of reading, writing and math. I believe that every child can learn when he or she learns at his or her own pace in the right environment. I am here to create this environment to support your child in grasping skills in a special subject area or having an engaging learning experience. So, let’s get started on this journey of growth and achievement. I know that your child will achieve his or her goals in the fun and interactive learning environment that I am so excited to provide.

I have been a tutor and educator for 9 years, teaching kids from Kindergarten to 7th grade in subjects such as math, reading, and writing. I have taught in Missouri and Louisiana, bringing a diverse set of experiences and knowledge to each learner I work with. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education grades 1-12, as well as a Master's Degree in Education. My qualifications and degrees allow me to cater to the unique needs of each learner, ensuring they have the best learning experience possible. My goal is to make online learning enjoyable and engaging for each learner. I do this by finding out what interests them and using that to make the learning experience more relatable and fun. By bringing their interests into the tasks at hand, I am able to create a personalized and effective learning environment for them. Aside from teaching, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, watching movies, and supporting my favorite team, LSU Football. These interests heavily influence my teaching style and methodology, as I believe in building strong relationships with my learners and their families. By getting to know their interests and incorporating them into our lessons, I am able to create a more meaningful and enjoyable learning experience. I am looking forward to getting to know your learner and their family, and helping them reach their full potential!
