🌟 Meet Ms. Gaona – Your Dedicated Tutor! Hello! I’m Ms. Gaona, and I’m thrilled to begin this learning journey with you! With over 10 years of experience teaching children and 5 years working with adult learners, I’ve had the joy of helping students of all ages grow academically and personally. My teaching career has flourished in the beautiful state of Texas, where I’ve built lasting connections with learners and their families. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and multiple Texas teaching certifications, including: Generalist EC–6 Bilingual EC–12 Special Education EC–12 Being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to communicate effectively with diverse families and tailor my lessons to each learner’s unique needs. My goal as a tutor is to make online learning engaging, structured, and fun. I use interactive activities and clear objectives to ensure every session is productive and enjoyable. By fostering engagement, setting achievable goals, and maintaining strong time management, I help students build both confidence and academic skills. Outside the classroom, I’m also a musician and singer—and that creativity inspires my teaching! I bring energy, rhythm, and positivity into every lesson, because I believe that when students are having fun, they’re more open to learning. In my three years of teaching and turoring, I have focused on reading & math for learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade. I am passionate about helping kids develop their skills and instilling a life long love for learning. My experience is primarily in Florida, where I have seen the impact that a fun and engaging approach can have on students. I hold a Science of Reading certificate and am always looking for ways to make online learning enjoyable and effective for my students. One of the strategies I use is bringing in props or visuals to bring the lesson to life. Outside of teaching, I love amusement parks, the zoo, swimming and country line dancing. Interestingly, I see a correlation between my love for line dancing and teaching reading. No matter how advanced you are, there's always something new to learn and improve upon. I am excited to share my passion for reading, math and learning with families and kids. My goal is to not only help students improve their reading & math skills, but also foster a love for learning that will last a lifetime. I have been teaching for 18 years, primarily working with learners in Kindergarten, Third, and Fifth grade. My teaching experience has been solely in Georgia, where I have been able to build a strong foundation of knowledge and resources to better support the needs of my students. I hold a Bachelor's, Master's, Specialist, and Doctor degree in Education, with a specific focus on Early Childhood Education and Leadership. I have found that asking questions and incorporating virtual manipulatives and stories can really capture my students' attention and make learning exciting for them. I also use various strategies such as engagement techniques, videos, and stories to ensure online learning is effective for my learners. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I've had the joy of working with kids in grades 2, 3, and 4, as well as teaching at the college level. I’ve spent most of my teaching career in Indiana, where I earned my degrees in Elementary Education and a Ph.D. in Education.

Hi! My name is Samantha and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for a whopping 22 years and have experience working with learners of all ages. My passion lies in helping kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade succeed and I have taught a variety of subjects, from math to reading to test prep. My experience in grades 2-3 has given me valuable insight into the developmental needs of this age group, while my tutoring experience has honed my skills in working one-on-one with kids.
