Science Tutoring for 9th Grade

With 7 years of teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of working with learners from Kindergarten to 5th grade. My main focus has been on teaching various subjects to students in Texas. My degree in Business Management has given me a unique perspective on how to approach teaching and learning, and I am always looking for new ways to engage my students. Aside from being fluent in English and Spanish, I love to make online learning fun and engaging for my students. Getting to see their smiling faces and using props to make lessons more interactive are just some of the ways I ensure that my students are having a great time while learning. To make sure that online learning is effective, I always ask questions to keep my learners on track and fully engaged in the lesson. Outside of teaching, I am a proud mother of two amazing boys. Spending time with them, traveling, and crafting are some of my favorite things to do. As a mom, I understand that every child is unique and learns in their own way. This influences my teaching style, as I strive to create a personalized and empathetic learning experience for each of my students. I cannot wait to meet your family and embark on this educational journey together!

With more than 5 years in the education world, I’ve had the joy of guiding learners from Kindergarten to eighth grade. In Colorado, I was a middle school reading interventionist for 2 years then taught 2nd grade for 1 year. While I have tutored and wanted to be a teacher since high school, I really fell in love and completed my licensure while I was an educational assistant for grades 1st-3rd for three years. While I have LETRS training (in-depth reading training based on the science of reading) and have had a focus on teaching reading in small groups, I can’t wait to help students discover the magic of learning for any subject.

Hi my name is Mrs. B and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 9 years of experience, I have taught learners in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have a passion for teaching and have taught a variety of subjects including Art, ELA, Reading, Science, History, and Math. My teaching experience has primarily been in Arizona and I have found joy and fulfillment in connecting with learners in this region. I'm Dani! I am currently a 5th grade teacher at a local public elementary school. Some of my favorite moments teaching involve connecting scholars to the world around them through literature, writing, and a strong focus on global citizenship. I also focus on instilling a love of math and learning! I have experience teaching high school at various levels of English Language Arts, including AP Composition. I also have experience tutoring AP and college level humanities courses. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a mental health crisis counselor for 15 years. I worked with children, families, adults, and in school settings. I also have experience as a gymnastics and swimming coach. Throughout all these years, I worked closely with teachers and other counselors to ensure scholars felt safe in their classrooms and at home. I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my bachelors in sociology. My ultimate goal is a PhD in curriculum development.
