I have been teaching for roughly 13 years. I love my job. I have taught all subjects, but my passion is math.

I’m a passionate educator with 8 years of experience teaching and tutoring students from Pre-K through 12th grade. I specialize in supporting diverse learners, including those with learning differences, behavioral needs, and advanced abilities. My teaching approach centers on personalized, structured, and evidence-based strategies that help students build confidence and reach their full potential. From writing and implementing IEPs to designing intervention plans, I believe in meeting each student where they are. I’m excited to support families through individualized instruction that truly makes a difference.

Hello! My name is Jay-Ar, and I’m thrilled to begin this learning journey with you. I have been teaching high school mathematics for the past six years, both in South Carolina and the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Major in Mathematics), a Master of Arts in Education (Major in Mathematics), and most recently, a Doctor of Education (Major in Educational Management). In addition, I am a certified Teaching – International educator, which allows me to share my knowledge and expertise with students from around the world. While most of my experience has been in teaching high school math, I am also passionate about tutoring students at the elementary and middle school levels. With my strong foundation in mathematics, I believe in the importance of building essential skills early on and fostering a genuine love for learning math at any stage.

With 20 years of teaching under my belt, I’ve guided learners from grades 5 to 12 in the wonderful world of math across Oklahoma and Texas. I truly believe that math is not a spectator sport, so I love to make our sessions lively and interactive. Together, we’ll tackle everything math-related and discover that learning can be as fun as a treasure hunt! In our online sessions, we’ll ensure every moment counts. I believe in having a structured approach to learning with clear expectations and a strong focus on what each of my learners need. I’m here to provide feedback and celebrate all the little victories along the way. My goal is to help you feel confident and successful with your math skills while enjoying the process together! When I’m not enlightening young minds, you can find me buzzing around my backyard as a beekeeper with my husband. We make all sorts of delicious goodies with our honey, which reminds me of how rewarding it is to cultivate something special—just like we do with our learning! I also love tackling DIY projects, which inspire creativity and problem-solving in my teaching style. I can’t wait to get started with your learning adventure!

I have been teaching for 11 years, and have spent most of that time teaching middle school math and social studies in my home state of South Carolina. I hold a Master's degree in educational technology, a Bachelor's degree in middle grades education, and an Associate's degree in information systems. My years of teaching experience have taught me how to make online learning fun and engaging for young learners. I have a huge personality and I'm not afraid to use it, even if it means being a little cringe-worthy at times! I love to find ways to incorporate everyday math into my lessons and get my students excited about numbers. I also enjoy working out and doing yoga in my free time, which helps keep me energized and ready to tackle any challenge that comes my way. I believe that online learning can be just as effective as in-person learning if approached correctly. I always make sure to check for understanding by asking my students to share their work and explain their thought process. This allows me to identify any areas where they may need extra help and tailor my lessons accordingly. When I'm not teaching, you can probably find me adding to my Tigger collection, as I have a soft spot for that lovable character. Hi, my name is Ms. M and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With one year of teaching experience under my belt, I’ve had the pleasure of working with wonderful kids in Kindergarten and Second Grade in sunny Florida. My background in Journalism gives me a unique twist in creating fun and engaging lessons that inspire creativity and curiosity in my learners. I believe that every child has a story worth telling, and I am here to help them express it! To make our online learning sessions enjoyable and effective, I use a mix of technology, encouraging language, and lots of positivity. I like to keep eye contact and create a warm atmosphere where kids feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and asking questions. With 27 years of teaching experience, I have had the pleasure of working with learners from 2nd grade to 8th grade, including Algebra 1. I have taught in Texas, where I currently reside, and hold a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction. My certifications include Elementary Education 1st through 8th grade and Math 1st through 8th grade. In order to make online learning enjoyable and engaging for my learners, I incorporate a variety of activities and games. I believe that learning should be fun and that kids learn best when they are having a good time. To ensure that online learning is effective, I use questioning techniques and a variety of instruction and assessments. This allows me to gauge my learners' understanding and adjust my teaching accordingly. When I am not teaching, I enjoy listening to music and reading. These interests have also influenced my teaching style as I love to incorporate music and imagination into my lessons. My name is Brad Redmond and I look foward to helping your child. I have a degree in Statistics and was a secondary math teacher for twenty years. I have taught 6th grade math, 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. I have taught in California and Nevada, in both public and charter school settings. This has given me a wide depth of experience explaining various math concepts with students with varying degrees of ability. I have spent the last seven years tutoring students covering various grade levels ranging from elementary school to post graduate. As a result, I am quite capable of adjusting my instruction so any student can comprehend and succeed in math.
