Writing Tutoring for Elementary

I was born and raised in NC. I have been teaching for the past 9 years. I have two Shorkie dogs, Nala (10yrs old) and Simba (4yrs old). I love Disney and traveling.

I am from the Dallas, TX area! I went to Baylor for undergrad; sic 'em! Jesus and my 3 yr old son are whom I love the most in addition to my family. I am blessed to be surrounded with both sides of my family in the area. I am the event leader in my lifegroup at church and spend a lot of time with friends go carting, bowling, going out to eat, listening to live music (especially country!), playing games, etc. With my son, we love to go to parks, Six Flags, play places, Scheels, Buccees, Bass Pro, traveling, etc.

I've had the joy of helping kids learn as a student teacher in a 4th-grade classroom and as a paraeducator working with little ones in Pre-K. My Bachelor's in Elementary Education and my Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis have given me the tools to craft engaging and personalized lessons. I can’t wait to help each of you discover your unique spark! I believe learning should be fun, so I create lessons that grab my learners’ attention and match their interests. With 24 years of teaching experience, I have taught learners from Pre K to 4th grade across multiple states such as NC, TX, CO, and FL. With over 36 years of teaching experience in Texas, I’ve had the joy of teaching students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping young learners build strong academic foundations and develop a lifelong love of learning. I hold degrees in Early Childhood Education and Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in all subjects for grades PreK–6 and mathematics through 8th grade.
