Writing Tutoring for 11th Grade

I have been teaching for 15 years and have experience working with learners in Kindergarten through 12th grade. I have taught a variety of subjects, including Special Education, Language Arts, and English. My passion for education has led me to work in North Carolina, where I have taught and positively impacted the lives of many families. In addition to my teaching experience, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English and two Master's Degrees - one in Educational Leadership and the other in Special Education. I am also certified in ELA for 6th-8th grades, ELA for 9th-12th grades, and Special Education for K-12. My qualifications and training have equipped me with the necessary skills to support diverse learners and provide them with a quality education. As an educator, I believe in making learning fun and engaging for my students. During online sessions, I use props, maintain high energy, and always have a smile on my face. I also incorporate strategies such as check-ins, assessments, and Total Physical Response to ensure that my students are actively participating and retaining information. Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing children's books, singing, and creating content. These interests greatly influence my teaching style and methodology, making lessons creative and enjoyable for learners. I have been teaching for 4 years and have had the pleasure of working with learners in kindergarten and first grade. I have also taught 9th and 10th-grade Literature as well as American Literature to 11th-grade students. I have taught in both Florida and Georgia, but I am currently located in Florida while teaching 5th graders. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Reading Education. Additionally, I have earned endorsements in both Reading and English as a Second Language. My qualifications and experience have helped me to become a well-rounded educator who is fully equipped to support students in their academic journey.

I have 10 years of teaching experience and have taught a variety of grades and subjects, including 3rd grade all subjects, 8th grade math, and 7th and 8th grade ELA. I have taught in NYC and Michigan and have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on 6-8 Math and Language Arts, as well as a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Leadership. I also hold a Standard Teaching Certificate and have 6-8 endorsements in Math and Language Arts.

My specialties include reading support, general academic tutoring, and social-emotional learning (SEL) — all with a focus on helping students feel successful and reducing the stress that homework time can bring to families. I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and encouraging. My approach is about meeting each student where they are, building on their strengths, and helping them develop both the skills and the mindset they need to thrive. Whether your child needs a boost in reading comprehension, help staying organized, or just a little extra confidence, I’m here to help make learning a positive experience. With 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of working with learners from kindergarten all the way through middle school and even adults! I’ve taught in sunny Mexico, where I got to connect with kids from different backgrounds, and I can’t wait to bring that experience to our online sessions! My mission is to make learning fun and engaging. I believe in crafting lessons that are as unique as each of my learners. With a sprinkle of connection, some meaningful content, and plenty of educational games, our online classroom will be a place where discovery is encouraged, and laughter is welcomed. I make sure that each lesson is tailored to meet the individual needs of my learners, which keeps them excited and curious. Outside of teaching, you can find me diving into a good book or catching up on my favorite series. I have enjoyed sharing information and learning new things since I was 5 years old. I would set up a classroom in my bedroom and recruit friends, family, and stuffed animals as students. I've been teaching for 18 years and still love it. When I'm not doing my dream job, you can find me in the kitchen cooking, on my deck devouring a good book, or at the beach soaking up some sun.

With 8 years of teaching experience, I have found a passion for working with learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade. My teaching journey has taken me to both Michigan and Ohio, where I have taught a variety of grades and subjects including special education, math, reading, science, and social studies. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in Special Education, and a Masters in Education Leadership. These degrees, along with my General Elementary, ASD, and CI qualifications, have equipped me with the necessary skills to provide high-quality instruction to my learners. Besides English, I am fluent in a language that comes naturally to all kids - fun and engagement! As an online tutor, I make it my mission to create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience for my kids. I love getting to know my learners and finding ways to incorporate their interests and hobbies into our lessons. This not only makes learning more fun but also helps them connect better with the subject matter. Through various methods, such as games, virtual field trips, and interactive activities, I strive to make online learning as effective as possible. Outside of teaching, I am a huge fan of spending quality time with my family. I also enjoy reading and traveling to new places whenever I get the chance. These interests heavily influence my teaching style, as I believe in the importance of building strong relationships with my learners and creating a positive and welcoming learning environment. My background in restorative practices has also given me a unique perspective on teaching, allowing me to foster a sense of community and empathy within my online classroom. I have spent the last two years teaching high schoolers in Ohio, but my heart truly belongs to younger learners.
