I am educator dedicated to helping young learners build strong, lasting literacy skills. With years of classroom and tutoring experience, I focuses on phonics, comprehension, and confidence-building strategies that meet each child right where they are. I believes in traditional, research-based reading instruction—steady practice, clear routines, and plenty of encouragement. My approach is warm, structured, and effective, helping children become capable, motivated readers who feel proud of their growth.

I have been teaching for 9 years, specializing in Middle and High School grades. I have taught in both DC and MD and hold a BA in English. For me, teaching is about building connections and making learning fun for my learners. With online learning, I understand how important it is to keep kids engaged and interested. That's why I incorporate stretch breaks, clap and response, and beginning check-ins into my sessions. I also take an interactive approach to learning which keeps kids excited and eager to participate. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and watching movies. Though my personal interests don't necessarily influence my teaching style, they do help me connect with my learners on a personal level. I believe that building a strong relationship with my learners is crucial for their academic success. Hello families! My name is Mr. Kel and I’m excited to tutor your child and be a part of their educational growth! While I am embarking on my first tutoring experience, I have been a teacher for 10 years with experience in both 1st and 2nd grade. I have worked with general ed, SPED, and ENL populations, where differentiation for a wide range of students has been key. I look forward to bringing my classroom expertise into 1 on 1 sessions to bring out the potential of each child I have the privilege to work with. As a big fan of everything Marvel (even with my own superhero classroom theme this year!), my tutoring experience will be all about getting your child to feel like a superhero. A super reader, a super mathematician, a superhero without a cape but with ever growing brains! Each strategy they learn is a new superpower they can add to their repertoire. I was born and raised in Georgia. I have two sons and one daughter, one grandson, and one granddaughter. I have taught for almost 30 years in Ga, Texas, Georgia, and in North Carolina. My entire career has been working with students with learning disabilities and I love what I do.

Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I am in my 9th year of teaching in sunny Florida. I work with learners from kindergarten through 5th grade. I mainly work with students in reading but am able to tutor in all subject areas. I have 3 boys and many animals (dogs, a cat, a snake, pigs, chickens, and a turkey). My family and I enjoy going out on the boat during our free time. Two of my boys play baseball and that is where you will find me most nights in the fall and spring. My name is Heather and I've been teaching for 16 years in Title 1 schools. I have taught first, second, third and fourth grades. I have my certification in Academically and Intellectually Gifted. I have my Masters in Reading Education K-12 and am National Board Certified in Early and Adolescent Literacy.

I have been teaching for 12 years, with experience in grades K-8 for subjects such as Reading, ELA, and Math. Originally from Arkansas, I hold multiple degrees in education including an MAT in Teaching Middle Grades, an MSE in Special Education for K-12, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership for Pre-K-12. In addition to my degrees, I am certified in Grades 4-8 math, science, ELA, and social studies, as well as Special Education for K-12.

I have 21 years of teaching experience and have taught a variety of grades and subjects including 1st grade, 3rd grade, and special education. I have taught in Tennessee and Georgia, and am currently located in the southern region. I hold a Bachelor's degree in elementary education and a Masters degree in teacher leadership. In addition, I am certified in special education for pre-k through 12th grade. When it comes to online learning, I believe in keeping it fun and engaging. I use hands-on activities, bright colors, and fast-paced games to keep my learners interested and involved. Outside of teaching, I have a passion for reading, crafting, and going for walks. These interests also influence my teaching style, as incorporating creativity is important to keep lessons interesting and effective.
