With 27 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to teach learners from Kindergarten to 6th grade, with a focus on grades 3-5. My love for teaching led me to New Jersey, where I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. As a certified teacher with a NJ-CEAS, I am dedicated to making learning a fun and enriching experience for my students. My passion for teaching goes beyond the classroom. I believe in building strong relationships with my learners, and my goal is to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment for them to thrive in. With my experience, I have developed a variety of interactive resources that make learning engaging and exciting for kids. I am always thinking of new and creative ways to make online learning fun, whether it's through virtual field trips or interactive games. To ensure that online learning is effective, I use strategies such as active participation techniques, differentiation of instruction, and establishing routines. By engaging learners in a variety of activities, I am able to cater to their individual needs and learning styles. My approach to teaching is to make learning enjoyable, while also providing a structured and effective learning environment. When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my three dogs at the beach or working on DIY projects. My love for creativity and incorporating life experiences into my teaching style is something that sets me apart. I am excited to share my hobbies and interests with my learners and incorporate them into our lessons. I am looking forward to getting to know your family and starting this learning journey together!

I have been teaching for 10 years in Kentucky, teaching learners in kindergarten through 5th grade in subjects such as math, reading, and writing. I am currently a Curriculum Specialist, so I get to teach all students grades K-5 at my school and coach teachers. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (grades K-5), a Master's degree in Literacy (grades K-12), and a Rank 1 certification. I am also trained in Orton Gillingham Phonics and LETRS to support my learners' diverse needs and learning styles. In my online sessions, I believe in making learning fun, engaging, and personalized for each child. I strive to involve learners in activities that spark their interests, such as playing games, using manipulatives, and connecting with their favorite topics. I also incorporate movement and hands-on activities to keep our sessions active and promote a love for learning. Through my lessons, I aim to foster curiosity and critical thinking skills in my learners, encouraging them to explore and discover the world around them. Outside of teaching, I enjoy being on the go! When I'm not teaching, you can find me outdoors walking my dog, hiking, exercising, or spending quality time with my loved ones. My active lifestyle often influences my teaching style, as I know I learn best when I'm moving, so I try to keep my learners engaged and active in our sessions. I also love reading and exploring, which helps me stay curious and inspires my teaching approach. I am excited to share my passions with you and your family, and I can't wait to learn and grow together with my learners!
