I have been teaching for 5 years, with a focus on 4th grade math. I have taught in North Carolina and have a Master’s of Arts in Teaching for Elementary Education. I am passionate about making online learning fun and engaging for my learners. I understand the challenges of learning virtually, especially for younger kids, and I strive to create an interactive and enjoyable experience for them. I use virtual manipulatives and whiteboard tools to keep my students engaged and actively participating in the lessons. This also helps me to assess their understanding and provide personalized support. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. While my personal interests may not directly influence my teaching style, they do help me to bring a creative and playful energy to my lessons. I believe that learning should be fun and enjoyable, and I always strive to bring that spirit into my virtual classroom. Hi, I’m Mrs. Kniesteadt (Ka-Nee-Sted)! I have over 10 years of experience working in education and love helping students discover just how much they can achieve. I earned my teaching credentials from Sierra Nevada College, along with a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in STEM Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. I’m also trained in the Science of Reading, which allows me to support students in building strong literacy foundations. I believe that all children can learn when given the right tools and encouragement. My approach focuses on meeting each student where they are, celebrating their progress, and helping them grow in confidence and curiosity. Tutoring is especially meaningful to me because I’ve seen how much growth can happen through one-on-one support and personalized instruction. When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me reading a good book, running, or spending time outdoors with my family. I love bringing that same sense of energy, exploration, and joy into my lessons! I’ve been teaching amazing kids for 3 years, focusing on 4th and 5th grade English Language Arts in sunny Florida. My goal is to create a fun and engaging online space where every learner feels comfortable and excited to explore reading and writing. Though I have a degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a background in marketing, my true calling is education.
