Hi, I’m Mrs. Kniesteadt (Ka-Nee-Sted)! I have over 10 years of experience working in education and love helping students discover just how much they can achieve. I earned my teaching credentials from Sierra Nevada College, along with a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in STEM Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. I’m also trained in the Science of Reading, which allows me to support students in building strong literacy foundations. I believe that all children can learn when given the right tools and encouragement. My approach focuses on meeting each student where they are, celebrating their progress, and helping them grow in confidence and curiosity. Tutoring is especially meaningful to me because I’ve seen how much growth can happen through one-on-one support and personalized instruction. When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me reading a good book, running, or spending time outdoors with my family. I love bringing that same sense of energy, exploration, and joy into my lessons! I’m excited to work with families to create a positive, encouraging learning experience where every child can thrive.

I have been teaching for 13 years, mainly focusing on grades 2-4 in Indianapolis, IN. Though I have a degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a background in marketing, my true calling is education. My passion for teaching began when I entered a Transition to Teaching program, and I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Instructional Systems Technology. My experience and qualifications in Elementary Education (K-6) allow me to create engaging, accessible, and personalized learning experiences for your child. Besides my degrees and certifications, I believe that my personal interests and hobbies outside of teaching play a crucial role in my teaching style and methodology. I am a huge fan of concerts (Dave Matthews Band!), and I love to travel. But how does that translate into my teaching? Well, I like to use personal anecdotes and stories in my lessons to build relationships with my learners and keep them engaged. By making connections with my students, I can create a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. With the current shift towards online learning, I understand the challenges that come with it. However, I am determined to make the best of it. As an experienced tutor, I have found ways to make online learning enjoyable and effective for my students. I use various learning management systems and apps that are not only educational but also fun and engaging. I also value feedback from my students and continuously adapt my strategies to keep them actively participating in the virtual classroom. I am looking forward to meeting your family and being a part of your child's academic journey!

With 27 years of teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to teach learners from Kindergarten to 6th grade, with a focus on grades 3-5. My love for teaching led me to New Jersey, where I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. As a certified teacher with a NJ-CEAS, I am dedicated to making learning a fun and enriching experience for my students. My passion for teaching goes beyond the classroom. I believe in building strong relationships with my learners, and my goal is to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment for them to thrive in. With my experience, I have developed a variety of interactive resources that make learning engaging and exciting for kids. I am always thinking of new and creative ways to make online learning fun, whether it's through virtual field trips or interactive games. To ensure that online learning is effective, I use strategies such as active participation techniques, differentiation of instruction, and establishing routines. By engaging learners in a variety of activities, I am able to cater to their individual needs and learning styles. My approach to teaching is to make learning enjoyable, while also providing a structured and effective learning environment. When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with my three dogs at the beach or working on DIY projects. My love for creativity and incorporating life experiences into my teaching style is something that sets me apart. I am excited to share my hobbies and interests with my learners and incorporate them into our lessons. I am looking forward to getting to know your family and starting this learning journey together!
