Hello :D I live in Virginia and come from a family of educators. I learned to truly value education from a young age. I was a substitute teacher for 12 years, enjoying flexibility and varied classroom experiences while my children were young. My full-time teaching experiences include teaching 5th grade one year, 2nd grade for six years and working as a reading specialist for six years. I have also taught summer school several years, enjoyed teaching a few homebound students, and tutored through the school system, the Boys' and Girls' Club, and privately. These experiences have instilled me with the knowledge and experience that I need to enable me to pinpoint and address students' academic needs. I truly value the opportunity to help students gain newfound confidence as they strengthen their skills and close learning gaps and to make learning fun!

Hi Parents & Students! I’m Ms. Rachael, and I’m so excited to meet you! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Japanese (Asian Studies) and a Master’s Degree in Business. Teaching is my 2nd career. I have 6 years experience tutoring international students in English and conversation skills. I also have 2 years classroom teaching experience with elementary and middle school students, and over 10 years of volunteering with children through Girl Scouts, classroom programs and community activities. For eight years, I was a foster parent, which gave me the opportunity to work with kids from all kinds of backgrounds and helped me develop strong social-emotional and communication skills. I also have ADHD, so I understand that every child learns differently — and I love finding creative, supportive ways to help each learner succeed and feel confident. I’m especially passionate about reading, writing, and language, and I believe learning should be both fun and meaningful. I’ve traveled and lived in other countries, and while English is my only fluent language (for now!), I’ve studied a bit of French, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin — I’m a lifelong learner at heart!

Hello Families! My name is Emily, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for over 11 years, and my passion lies in working with learners in Kindergarten through 6th grade. I have experience teaching both General Education and Special Education in various locations, including England, Bahrain, Hawai'i, and online in many of the 50 states.

I have 5 years of teaching experience in grades K-5 and an additional year in middle school. I have taught all subjects in Grades K-8 and have a Masters Degree in Education. I have been fortunate to teach in Louisiana, where I currently reside. Teaching is my passion and I am constantly finding new ways to make learning fun and engaging for my learners. Especially during online learning, I make sure to plan individualized and exciting lessons that keep my kids excited and interested. I also like to use educational songs to make the learning experience interactive and memorable. I believe that the key to effective online learning is to follow the Science of Reading and Teaching Standards. As a certified teacher with a Level 2 Teaching Certification, I am well-equipped to ensure that my learners get the best education possible. Outside of teaching, I enjoy attending live music events and watching movies. These interests also influence my teaching style, as I like to incorporate music and videos in my lessons. I have been teaching for 2 years and have experience teaching 3rd grade ELAR, Science, and Math, as well as 5th grade Math. My teaching experience has been in Texas, where I have been able to connect with learners and families from diverse backgrounds. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University. I am finishing my teaching certification for EC-6 this month! My personal interests outside of teaching include working out, spending time with family and friends, and going to the park with my dog. These interests heavily influence my teaching style as I believe in using my learners' interests to drive the lesson and make it engaging for them. Hello! My name is Dr. Alicia Irvin, and I’ve had the joy of teaching for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to helping children discover their strengths and reach their full potential—especially in reading and math. I’m passionate about literacy and love sharing that passion with my students. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning in every child I teach.

I started teaching in 2006. I have taught STEM/STEAM/Career Tech courses. I make learning super fun by using a STEM/STEAM approach.

I have been teaching for 27 years, primarily in North Carolina, and I have loved every moment of it. I have been teaching for 13 years, mainly focusing on grades 2-4 in Indianapolis, IN. Though I have a degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a background in marketing, my true calling is education. My passion for teaching began when I entered a Transition to Teaching program, and I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Instructional Systems Technology. I have been teaching for 15 wonderful years, guiding kids from 4K all the way through 6th grade in beautiful Wisconsin. My background in Anthropology adds a unique twist to my teaching, bringing stories and cultures alive in our lessons. It’s all about connecting—learning becomes an adventure when we explore together!
