Hi! My name is Miss C, and I have been teaching and tutoring for 21 years. I have worked with learners of all ages, from 3rd to 12th grade, teaching a variety of subjects including reading, writing, computer science(coding), technology, and STEM. My teaching journey has taken me to Texas and Oklahoma, where I have enjoyed connecting with learners and their families. I hold a Bachelors in Secondary Education, along with multiple certifications in trade and industrial education, career technology and computer science. As technology continues to evolve, my understanding and use of it has allowed me to communicate effectively with my learners and keep up with the latest educational trends.

My name is Pierce Scott. I live in Utah and love basketball, football, pickleball, hiking, and video games! I work as a Data Engineer for an airline and also teach computer science courses at a university.

Hi, I’m Erika Barrientos! I’m so excited to join you on this learning journey. With 13 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with 4th and 5th graders across all subjects, as well as supporting students as a K–5 reading interventionist. Currently, I serve as a Reading Language Arts instructional coach, where I get to share my passion for helping kids discover the joy of reading. I believe online learning should be fun and meaningful. My lessons come alive through real-world connections, catchy songs, engaging videos, and creative projects that spark curiosity. Most importantly, I design each session to match the unique interests of my students—because when learning feels personal, it sticks! Outside of teaching, I’m a proud boy mom who loves cheering at my sons’ sporting events and working on fun crafts. My teaching philosophy is simple: I always ask myself, “What kind of teacher would I want for my boys?” That question keeps me grounded in creating a supportive, engaging environment where every child can thrive. My name is Mrs. Amy Leone, and I am a passionate and engaging educator! I have been teaching for 33 years at the same school, and I have experience in grades 2, 3, and 4, as well as STEAM PreK-5 teaching coding and robotics.

My hobbies influence my teaching style, and I'd love to explain how! Outside of teaching, I'm incredibly passionate about solo traveling and skydiving. I have visited over 22 countries and I am a licensed skydiver with more than 60 solo jumps. My love for these hobbies has taught me to stay calm under pressure, trust the process, and remain adaptable in unpredictable situations. These skills directly influence my teaching style. In my classroom, learning is an adventure and failure is seen as a stepping stone to growth. I encourage my students to embrace challenges, take calculated risks, and develop resilience. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where they feel safe to explore, iterate, and learn, just like in skydiving!

I have been teaching for 14 years in North Carolina, and I have taught a variety of grades and subjects. My passion for teaching has led me to explore different areas of education, including Technology, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and specific grade levels such as 5th Grade Science, 3rd Grade, and 2nd Grade. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively support young learners.

I have been teaching for a couple of years now, specializing in Math and English for kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade. I’ve had the pleasure of working with learners in Pennsylvania, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. To keep our online learning fun and engaging, I love using cool visuals like counting blocks and fun coloring activities. Outside of tutoring, I’m a big fan of art and have even helped out at the Dungeons and Dragons club after school. I draw and paint with color pencils and acrylics, which inspires me to think creatively when working with my learners. Hi my name is Mrs. Tacconelli and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 21 years of teaching experience, I've had the joy of working with learners from Kindergarten through 5th grade. I've taught a variety of subjects including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies in New Jersey. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education K-5 and a Master's of Education in Applied Educational Technology, so you can trust that your child's education is in capable hands.

I like to make learning fun with games and activities. Once I get to know the students better I can incorporate their interests into my lessons to help them be more engaged!

Over the past 17 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching a diverse range of learners in grades 1st through high school, covering all content areas. Originally from Louisiana, I have also taught in Mississippi and Alabama, gaining experience in different education systems and cultures. I hold a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in STEM. In addition, I have obtained teaching certificates in both Mississippi and Alabama for grades K-6. My qualifications, combined with my years of teaching experience, equip me with the necessary skills to effectively support your child's learning journey. When it comes to online learning, I believe it is important to make it fun and engaging for students. That's why I love to use bright visuals and incorporate dance parties, trivia, and games into my lessons. I also use strategies such as quick checks and intentional scaffolding to ensure that the learning is effective. Outside of teaching, I enjoy fishing, reading books, and spending time with my family. These interests greatly influence my teaching style and methodology, as I love to incorporate my passions into lessons to make them more relatable and memorable for kids.
