Hi my name is Ms. Patti and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I am currently a 6th grade teacher and enjoy working with students. With 32 years of teaching experience, I have taught a variety of grades and subjects such as 4th - 7th Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles, playing games, spending time with my family, and raising Rough Collies.

Hi! My name is Lynn, and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 30 years of teaching under my belt, I've had the joy of working with learners from Kindergarten all the way up to 12th grade. I've taught in Indiana and Florida, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and two Master's degrees in Social Studies. My love for teaching is fueled by my passion for helping kids discover their own unique abilities and interests. In our online sessions, learning will not just be about books! I believe that we can have lots of fun while we learn. We will play games that make the material come alive, and I’ll always check in with you to see how you're doing. If something doesn’t click right away, we’ll find a different way to tackle it together! Your learning is my priority, and I want to make sure that our time together is both productive and enjoyable. When I’m not in teaching mode, you can find me immersed in a good book, camping under the stars, or cheering on my favorite sports teams! I have been teaching for 25 years and have experience in various grades and subjects, including Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. I have had the privilege of teaching in states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, and even in my home country of Jamaica. My educational background includes a Masters in Educational Studies and a Bachelors of Arts in Language, Communication, and Society. I am also a certified primary education teacher with a Diploma in teaching. My passion for teaching and helping students grow academically has been evident throughout my years of experience. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, dancing, cooking, and watching television. These interests may not seem related to teaching, but they have greatly influenced my teaching style and methodology. I strongly believe that every child is capable of achieving academic greatness, but they may not learn on the same day or in the same way. That is why I make online learning fun and engaging for my students by using short and exciting activities, games, verbal discourse, and stories. I also ensure that online learning is effective by incorporating different strategies to keep learners interested and involved. With 9 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of tutoring students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, in the state of South Carolina. I currently work teaching middle schoolers through the National Aquarium and I'm looking forward to expanding my teaching abilities through Class Dojo. I have been in education for over ten years, and I truly love what I do. Working with students and helping them grow both academically and personally is incredibly rewarding. Hi, my name is Caitlyn, and I am excited to begin this reading journey with you! I have been a teacher for four years, with a strong focus on helping elementary and middle school students grow as confident, skilled readers. I have provided targeted reading support using research-based strategies grounded in the Science of Reading. I hold a BA in History Education and an MA in History, and I am certified in TESOL and the Science of Reading. These certifications allow me to effectively support students who are new to the English language as well as those who may be struggling with reading skills such as fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I look forward to helping you strengthen your reading abilities and discover the joy of learning through text!

I have been teaching reading, math, and science for 16 years, primarily in Mississippi and online through Remind and now ClassDojo. My experience includes teaching students from kindergarten to seventh grade, and I hold a wide range of degrees from a Bachelor's in Marketing to an Educational Specialist in K-12 Leadership. I am currently working on my Doctoral of Education in K-12 Leadership. I am also certified in several subjects, including social studies, elementary education, marketing, and business. My hobbies include sports, Marvel/DC characters, and whatever interests my students and I share. I believe that incorporating these interests into lessons makes online learning more fun and engaging for my learners. I also use strategies such as constant checks for understanding, immediate feedback, and giving students a voice in their instruction to ensure that online learning is effective for them. Hi my name is Mrs. O'Hara and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! I have been teaching for 8 years, from grades 1 to 8, and I have taught in both Illinois and Missouri. I hold a Bachelor of Elementary Education and a Master of Early Childhood Education from Maryville University. I am certified to teach general education from birth to 6th grade, as well as holding a Middle School ELA certification. To make online learning fun and engaging, I love to incorporate things that learners are passionate about into our sessions. This could include incorporating their favorite characters or using fun online platforms like Kahoot, Nearpod, and Blooket. These platforms allow me to control what questions are being asked while still keeping learners engaged with drawings, solving puzzles, and playing games.
