Hi families! 👋🏾 I’m Mrs. Edwards, an experienced and passionate ELA tutor who loves helping students in grades 2–9 gain confidence, strengthen their reading and writing skills, and experience the “aha!” moments that make learning exciting. Through my personalized tutoring sessions, I help students master key ELA skills using fun, engaging lessons that meet them right where they are. I specialize in building strong foundations in reading comprehension, grammar, and writing — all while helping students develop a love for learning. My goal is to make every child feel capable, confident, and proud of their progress.

Hello! My name is Tamica Junious, and I am excited to be a part of your child’s experience. I have been in Education for almost 20 years and have worked through being an assistant to now a classroom teacher. I have taught Special Education for 9 years prior to my current position teaching 5th grade.

With 9 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with learners from Kindergarten to 6th grade in various subjects, including math, reading, science, and social studies. My passion for teaching has taken me to sunny Florida, where I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. My qualifications include Elementary K-6, ESOL, Reading, and Exceptional Ed. Beyond English, I am also fluent in French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. I believe in making online learning fun and engaging by transforming the virtual classroom into an interactive playground! Through dynamic discussions, creative projects, and a sprinkle of gamification, I strive to make every lesson an exciting adventure for my learners. To ensure effective online learning, I focus on creating a clear, well-structured environment with explicit expectations and consistent communication. I prioritize active learning through engaging, interactive content and a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities. Building a strong sense of community and providing timely, specific feedback are crucial. My personal interests and hobbies outside of teaching, which include family time, reading, and traveling, greatly influence my teaching style and methodology. They remind me to foster a supportive, inclusive community and bring a global perspective to my lessons, ultimately helping my learners explore new cultures and broaden their horizons, right from their desks!

Hi families! I’m Missy, and I’m thrilled to support your learner’s growth! I’m a lifelong educator with 23 years of teaching experience, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching every grade from 1st–8th (except 2nd grade!). My background has given me a deep understanding of how students learn at every stage and what they need to feel confident and successful. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in: English Language Arts (ELA) Social Science ESL (English as a Second Language) Exceptional Learners I also have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and I currently serve as an adjunct instructor at the college level, helping future educators learn how to design powerful, student-centered instruction.

I have been teaching for 25 years, and it has truly been a passion of mine. I have experience teaching Kindergarten through 6th grade, with a focus on grades 3, 4, and 5. My teaching career has taken place in sunny Florida, where I currently reside. My degrees include a Bachelor's in Elementary Education for grades 1-6. I also hold multiple teaching certifications and special qualifications, including Elementary Education, English as a Second Language (ESOL), and a Reading Endorsement. These certifications have provided me with the knowledge and skills to effectively work with learners of all backgrounds. I strive to make online learning fun and engaging for my learners. Through the use of various tools such as Class Dojo, Nearpods, Blookets, Powerpoints, and Canva, I am able to make each session unique and enjoyable. Additionally, I implement strategies such as exit tickets and formative assessments to ensure that online learning is effective for my learners. Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking and singing, but these interests do not directly impact my teaching style or methodology. Hey there! I’m Jenny, your soon-to-be favorite learning sidekick! With 15 years of experience wrangling curious minds from Kindergarten to 6th grade, I’ve taught just about everything—Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, Music, and English as a Second Language—both in the U.S. and abroad. My love for teaching (and my inability to resist a good challenge) led me to earn an MS in Curriculum and Instruction and a BA in Music Education, covering pre-K through 12th grade. Basically, if there’s a way to make learning exciting, I’m all over it! Outside of teaching, I’m a big fan of creative pursuits—whether that’s cooking up something delicious, making music, or getting lost in nature on a hike. I bring that same energy into my teaching, weaving in storytelling, critical thinking challenges, and hands-on activities to keep learners engaged and excited.

I am married and have two adult children, a wonderful son-in-law, and two energetic grandsons who keep life exciting. I love spending my weekends with my family, whether we’re relaxing at home, enjoying time outdoors, or exploring new places together. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time on the lake during the summer, biking along scenic trails, and going on family vacations that create lasting memories.
