Math Tutoring for Elementary

Going into my 5th school year of teaching Kindergarten and 6th year of tutoring English as a Second Language, I’ve learned how to make learning a joyful adventure for kids. I’ve had the pleasure of doing this remotely, which means I can bring fun learning experiences right to your home! I keep online tutoring lively and engaging by using interactive tools, games, and even a bit of movement to spark curiosity. I believe in setting clear goals for each lesson and providing regular check-ins so every learner feels confident and excited about what they’re discovering. My aim is to make sure that what we learn together becomes something they remember and enjoy! When I’m not teaching, you might find me traveling around the U.S. in my RV, hunting for treasures in thrift stores, or sprinkling some Disney magic into my life (I’m a two-time former Disney cast member!). All these adventures inspire my teaching style—whether I’m storytelling or finding creative resources, I love to bring a bit of wonder into our lessons. I’ve been in education for 10 years, teaching 1st–4th grade, and for the last 3 years I’ve served as the school librarian, helping students fall in love with reading and learning. I am a mother to 3 children ages 17, 11, & 8. I have enjoyed working with children since the age of 13, where I first started volunteering in children's church and babysitting during summers. I have been teaching for 4 years and have experience working with learners from Kindergarten through undergraduate level. My main focus is on English, History, and Political Science, but I have also taught a variety of other subjects. I have primarily taught online and have had the opportunity to teach students from all over the world.
