Hi, my name is Mrs. Flynn, and I am excited to start this learning journey with your child! With over 16 years of teaching experience, I have had the joy of guiding first, second, and third graders in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science in various Maryland classrooms. When I’m not exploring the world of knowledge with my learners, you can find me crocheting cute stuffies and cozy blankets, tackling jigsaw puzzles, practicing yoga, or tending to my many houseplants! My laid-back and calming presence, partly inspired by my yoga practice, helps create a relaxed atmosphere, making learning a breeze. I can’t wait to embark on this exciting adventure with your child!

My name is Valencia Lyles. I have been teaching for 13 years and I love what I do. I am currently teaching first grade as well as tutoring at my school for 3rd and 4th graders. I have experience teaching grades Kindergarten - Fourth Grade. Reading is my strongest subject to teach and my love, but I am also able to teach math just as well. Reading became a love for me while I was teaching third and fourth grade. In third grade I was able to use the strengths of developing readers and help them read and actually pass their reading end of grade test which is why I moved to fourth grade the next year. That was great for me and that's when all I had to focus on was reading because fourth grade was departmentalized. Finding a child's strengths and weaknesses is needed because we need to use the strength to help strengthen the weaknesses in both reading and math. I believe I have what it takes to help a child discover his strengths and weaknesses and use the strength to develop the weaknesses.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Jackson State University in Education, and currently working on my Specialist degree, in Education Leadership. I am a highly certified for the State of Mississippi. Over the last 15 years, I have taught preschool, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade reading, 7th grade Math Learning Strategies and Math, currently Math Interventionist for grade 6-8th grade. I am a proud wife and mother of 3 children. In my spare time I love to bake, try new recipes, and create custom cakes and treats. I look for to working you and conquering our goals!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Henry, and I’m an enthusiastic and dedicated elementary school teacher with over six years of experience working with students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Teaching young learners has always been my passion, and I find great joy in helping children develop a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Watching students grow—academically, socially, and emotionally—is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. With 18 years of experience under my belt, I've taught wonderful learners in grades 3 to 5 in subjects like Reading, Writing, Science, and even Math. With five years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of working with kids in 3rd Grade, focusing on English Language Arts and Math.
